Although I was initially turned off by ICI’s choice for Color of the Year (soft jade), it’s grown on me. At least when it’s used in the right setting—and with the right accent colors. The pastel-like jade green would be sweet in a powder room or vanity area (as illustrated above), and when paired with pretty-pale pink and pops of rich plum and terracotta, the hue becomes much more Parisian-sweet and less seasick skin tone. If you love the color but lean more toward the modernist side, try pairing it with a cool palette of grey, soft blues, taupe and chocolate. (-Allie)
