Cool Hues

Pittsburgh Paints recently sent me their color trends for spring/summer ‘09—expertly selected palettes of the best color pairings for the season. Out of the handful of palettes, Avatar is by far my favorite. Paint your walls in Crumb Cookie (a warm cream) and use Black Forest (an almost-black brown) as a secondary color—perhaps painting a small accent wall for some drama. Add pops of soft yellow, teal and leafy green via small accessories for some excitement. …Now, if you’re feeling bold (and I’ll always encourage bold), opt for an accent wall painted in Cool Lagoon or Lichen. Talk about a statement-making space! (-Allie)
