Turkish Delight

Iznik tilesMy father (who is a pilot) recently sent over some photos of Iznik tiles he saw in a visit to Eyup, a district of Istanbul, while on a layover. I was struck by the rich colors: vivid orangey-red against deep blues, aquas and emerald greens. I love how the combo is earthy and atmospheric at the same time – but it’s not too far from red, white and blue to seem doable at home. (-Moe)
