I was talking to a girlfriend of mine, who’s in the midst of decorating her home. She and her husband found a blue velvet couch they’ve fallen in love with, but then the question was… Blue velvet? What do you do with that? So I thought I’d make a little suggestion in our SB o’ the Week. I like the idea of sticky to a primary color palette: red, blue and yellow. Using them a few shades darker makes them a little more traditional, which is nice when you’re decorating around a statement piece. But then I can’t resist a cool graphic rug in interpretation of traditional to spice it up a little. Voila! (-Moe)
