I’m currently designing a gorgeous three-bedroom apartment in New York City. My clients, two recent Dartmouth grads, love sleek modern style with a little bit of edge. Needless to say, I’ve been having a blast working on this project (and hopefully I can share some “after” photos when I’m done!) Early today I was on the hunt for the perfect accent light (something that will look great while adding just enough light to lighten a dark corner) and came across this Block Lamp. The perfect functional art piece! (-Allie)
Block Lamp, $130, Conran Shop
Lilly Pulitzer, the queen of preppy pattern, has a new line of stationery and small goods. I’m loving the cheery placemats in the collection—they’re meant for kids, but I see no reason to use them to pep up your grown-up table. (-Moe)
Later Gator Placemat, $5.95, Lifeguard Press.
There’s nothing like a bold dose of color to get spring started (or at least make it feel as if spring has started…) I’m loving Henry Road’s new pillows — their bold colors and exciting patterns are just what an interior needs in the early rainy months of the season. (-Allie)
Assorted pillows, $70-$90, Henry Road
If you’ve ever owned a kitty, you know they love to play in bags and boxes. So why not give Fluffy a slightly more stylish spot to wild out? (-Moe)
Airplane Cat Playhouse by Suck UK, $32, GreenerGrassDesign.com.
Hi spring, I’ve missed you! There are many things to love about the season, but one of them is the extra motivation I get to entertain friends. And what’s the first thing I think about when planning to entertain friends? Wowing them with — no, not my amazing (er, mediocre) cooking skills — but with a chic, unexpected dining room design. Inspired by Dwell Studio’s new table linen collection for Target, here’s a fresh playful take on a seasonal spread. (-Allie)

I would die to have this gorgeous leather chair in my living room. The cobalt blue color is completely unexpected, and could liven up any neutral space. (-Laur)

Whether you’re an artiste or just want to fool the ladies into thinking so, this might do the trick. A triptych of pillows, featuring a very relaxed nude—suggestive, no? (-Moe)
