Donna Wilson: A little bit playful, a little bit quirky and a whole lotta cute, Donna Wilson’s accents inspire thoughts of more innocent times. Her pillows are the perfect cure for a sofa needing some pizzazz, and her mini throw blankets and wool creatures are ideal accents for a nursery. I’m especially in love with her Rainy Day items (throw and pillow)…they make me miss my hometown Seattle.
Camilla Meijer: If I had to make a list of my favorite things, color, throw pillows and walllpaper would easily make the top 10. And so it’s without surprise that UK-based Camilla Meijer caught my attention. Her vibrant new line of wallpaper comes in eye-catching hues, and she has crafted throw pillows and pendant lights to coordinate. Now if only we could get her products stocked in US retail stores… (You currently can order via email from her Web site.)
Isolyn: The decorative saying “bring the outdoors in” has been overused, but if we were to bring it back just this once…it would include a mention of Isolyn’s simple-and-modern throw pillows. The sweet felt floral accents add a delicate touch that you can still rest your head on. Her new pillows shown above aren’t available in the US yet, but I’m madly in love with her English Rose pillows which you can purchase by clicking here.
Lizzie Allen: London-based Lizzie Allen’s hand screen-printed wallpaper may range on the higher-end of the price spectrum, but it’s well worth the cost. And if you’re covering a small accent wall or even framing a large square of a print, it won’t break the bank. What I especially love is that each print is a piece of artwork—check out the detailing of one of my favorite designs, “London City Gents.” If wallpaper isn’t your cup of tea, her throw pillows might just do the trick. Unfortunately we have to wait until some smart US retailer picks up her line…but in the meantime you can email Lizzie for pricing and purchasing info.
Tracy Glover: I’m usually hard to impress when it comes to lighting fixtures. But Tracy Glover’s booth was one of the first ones to stop me in my tracks at ICFF. Each hand-blown glass piece is unique and radiating with beautiful color (well, except for the snowy white varieties which I madly love). Her sophisticated fixtures would make a lovely statement in an entry or flanking a console behind a sofa. They may be a little bit pricey, but you can’t really put a price tag on something that stunning.
Tracy Kendall: The creations that come out of Tracy Kendall have an uncanny ability to stop me (and countless other ICFF visitors, so it seemed) in my tracks. Her puzzle-piece wallpaper design was especially a show-stopper. Made from 8,000 individual puzzle pieces this design could inspire one devoted DIYer. Or, contact a designer to purchase the real thing. The price is definitely on the high end of the spectrum, but it doubles as art, so think of it as an investment.
