I’ll now take my throne…

I’ve paid homage to the beloved yellow-and-gray color combination before, but it’s still so au courant, except this time with a beigey twist. And to be honest? I’m off-my-rocker CRAZY about this chair from Shine Home, and I’ve been nonstop daydreaming about how I’d use it in a space. Reading nook, perhaps? My own modern-day queen’s throne seems just a bit excessive (right? I mean, it is called the “Master’s Chair”…) (-Allie)

Sure, $635 for a table lamp may be a bit of a stretch in today’s economy. But $635 for a gilted gold flamingo lamp? Now that’s a steal. (OK, maybe not, but I’m obsessing anyway.) (-Allie)

Orange you glad…

One of my favorite blogs is House of Turquoise—I’m always inspired by this fresh hue. It  pairs with almost any color and can work anywhere from modern to country chic interiors. So this week’s Swatchbook pays homage to the beauty of turquoise. I’m currently loving it paired with rusty orange. Paint one accent wall in a subdued turquoise, add sophisticated furnishings, dark woods and pops of orange and you’ll have a fresh, chic look that’ll stay energized for all seasons. (-Allie)
